You can now share a playlist with multiple people, and each participant can add songs. In Apple Music, there's a Favorites playlist that houses everything you've favorited, plus Apple added support for collaborative playlists. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one you want to install. The update fixes security vulnerabilities that Apple says could be used to attack iPhones and iPads. The biggest new feature in iOS 17.2 is the Journal app, which can be used to record daily activities and thoughts. Apple issued an emergency warning to update to iOS 16.6.1 or iPadOS 16.6.1 right away. An Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta. If an iPhone model supports the latest iOS, then that model is the most secure. More concretely, any iPhone device that has access to the latest version of iOS essentially has all the security Apple can provide. ![]() Registered developers are able to opt into the betas by opening up the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, tapping on the "Beta Updates" option, and toggling on the iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 Developer Beta.
